"Surrounded by 100 acres, with curious cows at our back door, the farm near Milton became Nathan's very first home.
Being an only child until he was four, we spent much time together
nurturing the soul. We had our daily walks down the lane in search of
blueberries, and a trip to ancient apple orchard to collect the
"windfalls". Always our bovine friends waited patiently for a handout!
By the day's end while supper simmered on the stove, there was always
time to nurture our creative souls while we waited for daddy to come
home.
This was the time that almost always stirred in me the memories of my
own childhood. Heated by an old wood stove, I would spend hours in the
basement of our cozy home with my three sisters. There we had a huge
table where we could paint, cut, paste and colour, anything and
everything... we were truly blessed!
Years later, little did I know that the talent nurtured so long ago
would be multiplied in the artistic souls of our three children. It has
blessed my life with pure joy to see them use the special gift that God
has given to each of them. What a thrill it has been for me just to sit
